CURS DE CANTO CLASIC LA CASTELUL BRANCALEONI DIN ITALIA
În perioada 5-22 iunie 2014, SCUOLA ITALIA, organizează un curs de vară la Castelul Brancaleoni. Acesta este destinat tinerilor cântăreţi (între 15-20 de ani) care doresc să îşi perfectioneze tehnica artistică şi să devină viitoare stele ale scenelor de operă. Predarea este efectuată de profesionişti în domeniu, recunoscuţi pe plan internaţional. Printre aceştia meţionăm pe soprana Mirela Ungureanu-Biser (voce şi pian), director artistic şi pe pianistele Carmen Daniela şi Corina Kiss. Cursul cuprinde următoarele materii de studiu:
- Perfectionare în limba italiană
- Dicţie
- Canto clasic (repertoriu italian)
- Mişcare şi comportare scenică
- Concerte cu public
Castelul Brancaleoni este situat în localitatea Piobbico, din provincia italiană Pesaro e Urbino, nu departe de coasta Mării Adriatice.

Artistic Director
Mirela Ungureanu-Biser, soprano, is the voice and piano instructor at Levine Jewish Community Center in Charlotte, NC, USA. She enjoys teaching and brings in a performer's perspective while doing so. She holds a Master of Music degree in Opera and Music Theatre from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Voice Performance from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She graduated her degrees with honors and has also completed additional studies with the well known singers Kallen Esperian and Luis Ledesma. She was awarded second place in the Orfeo Competition and has also enjoyed participating in master classes with Peter Mark and Sherrill Milnes.
Professor Mirela Ungureanu-Biser also performed with Opera Memphis and Opera Carolina in addition to teaching at Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, TN; John A. Logan College in Carterville, IL; Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL; and Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, IL.
Pianists
Corina Kiss, pianist, holds a degree in piano as well as a Doctorate in Musicology from the National University of Music in Bucharest. She is a professor of piano at the Volkhochschule in Düsseldorf. She has also been the accompanist at the Opera House in Brasov, Romania for several years and in Germany is always in demand as an accompanist and coach for master courses. She was awarded second place in the Haricleea Darclee piano competition in Romania as well as second place in the Composition contest of Siegburg, Germany. Professor Corina Kiss also performs as a solo pianist and with other musicians for recitals in Germany, Romania, Austria, Italy
Carmen Daniela, pianist, holds degrees from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and the University of the Arts in Berlin. She is currently the manager and music director of the Internationale Musikwoche in Burgen und Schlössern festival in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Professor Carmen Daniela taught piano and coached at the Vienna Conservatory, Cologne University of Music, Wuppertal University of Music, and the Robert Schumann University of Music and Media in Dusseldorf. She was also the director of the Vienna Arts University of Gwangju, South Korea. She was awarded second place at the International Piano Competition GB Viotti in Vercelli, Italy.
Carmen Daniela is in demand as a piano teacher and accompanist for master courses in Europe, Asia, Canada and Israel, Spain and USA.

CANTA IN BRANCALEONI CASTLE
A summer program for twelve singers ages 15 to 20 years old taking place in 2014 that includes Italian language and diction, musical coaching of Italian repertoire, and stage rehearsals, and concerts. Come to Piobbico to enhance your singing and performing skills and improve your command of the Italian language. It provides vocal training and coaching of Italian operatic repertoire with an international faculty, and includes public concerts in historical theatres in and around Piobbico. Students receive weekly voice lessons and regular musical coaching with faculty. Elements of acting and character development will be addressed daily.
A. Course in Italian language and cultural activities.
The instructors of Scuola Italia offer an intensive language course which equips the singer with a thorough grounding in Italian. The teachers are graduates in Modern Languages and Humanities and highly skilled in modern teaching methods of Italian as a foreign language. From Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 12.15: the course consists of grammar, conversation, listening comprehension, lexical and phonetic development, diction lessons, reading and translating texts of operatic arias. Throughout the group lessons, the students' progress will be carefully monitored.
The course includes:
1. Teaching material
2. Information on the city and its surroundings
3. Visits to the following cities of art:
• Guided cultural tour of URBINO, Urbino is a stunning Italian city with beautiful Renaissance architecture. It is the birthplace of the exceptional painter Raphael. The Ducal Palace in Urbino was the famous court of Duke Federico II of Montefeltro. Today the Palace is the National Gallery of the Marche Region.
• One day to the beach in PESARO (hometown of G. Rossini), where the prestigious lyrical event, the Rossini Opera Festival, is held annually.
The school also provides assistance to the students in arranging travel within Italy (booking hotels, hints for residence permits, car and bicycle hire, taxis). Whatever your problem, we will be here to help you.
B. Course in Vocal Studies and Performance
What the course offers:
One hour of private voice lessons per week with international artist-teachers
Accompanists available for voice lessons and individual rehearsal
Individual and ensemble musical coaching on song and operatic repertoire with international maestri, at least two periods per week
Daily staging rehearsals of your Italian Repertoire to be performed in concerts
Audition training, general stage technique, and acting for two or more sessions per week. Practice rooms available Monday through Saturday
Renowned pianist Carmen Daniela will accompany your lessons and performances Corina Kiss will offer help on learning your music easier by improving your piano skills.
C. Concert Appearances
During the course, public concerts will be performed in the region of Pesaro Urbino. Recent venues were the Castello Brancaleoni in Piobbico, Museo Diocesano in Urbania, Chiesa Santa Veneranda in Fermignano, Chiesa di San Francesco in Mercatello, the beautiful and historic Teatro Bramante in Urbania, and the Vatican in Rome (San Pietro Cathedral). The singers receive additional rehearsals and coachings for these performances. A dinner party will be offered to singers and staff after the last concert.
